Wow, another school year is upon us. Lots to look forward to : we've got a new Geography room for Miss Hughes, 2 trips to Italy, a trip into Hereford, down the Dan-yr-Ogof caves, behind a waterfall, Big Pit, Cardiff museum, as well as local visits to Lugwardine for year 7. Year 10 also have a chance to reclaim the 'Worldwise Quiz' trophy for the school.

Year 9 trip - Cardiff museum & Big Pit

On Friday 11th February, all of year 9 will be enjoying a field visit to South Wales. We're leaving school at 9 and will return at about 4.30pm, so make sure you have made arrangements to get home! You can wear your own, sensible clothes; but don't wear anything special as it can sometimes be muddy and wet at Big Pit.

Year 10 fieldtrips

1. If you want to see some of the photos taken by staff on the recent fieldtrip to Italy, have a look on the Central Resource Library; they're under Geography > Italy 2010.
2. Those students who didn't go to Italy are going up onto the Malvern Hills on Wednesday 14th July.

Winners again!

The battle began, and again we won the Geographical Association "Worldwise Quiz". Our super team of Daniel Moraweiki, Andrew Stokes and Duncan Collins beat off all the local competition - including the Cathedral School, Haberdashers Monmouth and Bishops. That's two years running that we've won ....the current year 9's have something to live up to when they get the chance in 2009! Have a look at the photos and the sheild in the Geography department.

Year 8 Hereford fieldwork

On Tuesday 30th September, year 8 are visiting Hereford city to look at shops and services in the central area. If you have a clipboard, please bring it with you. We'll be out of school during periods 1, 2 & 3 as well as the first part of lunch. You need to wear school uniform.

Malvern Hills fieldwork (year 10)

This took place on Friday 27th June. You should now start the write-up of the day. A small selection of photos has been put onto the school network (Central Resource Library > Subjects > Geography > Malvern 2008). Over the summer holiday you need to be carrying out some additional fieldwork, the ultimate aim being to get coursework finished by October (2008!).
